Replaced the worn-out OEM shocks on my G16 with this and wow—what a difference. Ride is smoother and less bounce on rougher trails. Solid front shock for Yamaha golf cart.

Shipped fast and fit perfectly on my G14. The shock feels firm and stable, not too stiff. Hopefully it holds up during hunting season. Great Yamaha G14 front end part.

Does anyone know if this will work for lifted carts too? My G16 is 2″ lifted and I’m wondering if I need a longer travel version or if this will do the trick.

This shock is an absolute game-changer for Yamaha G14 and G16 carts. I was getting major front-end sag and bounce over uneven terrain, but after swapping these in, it’s like driving a completely different cart. The rebound control is tight, the compression is just stiff enough to stabilize without jarring your ride. If you’re looking for Yamaha G14 front shock absorber that actually improves your suspension, this is it. Installed both sides in under 30 minutes. 10/10.

Part arrived in good condition, but the packaging was pretty beat up—looked like UPS dragged it around. The shock itself works fine and fits the G14 as advertised.

Great replacement shock for my 1997 Yamaha G16. Easy install with basic tools. Had to re-tighten after the first ride, but overall it made the cart handle way better.

This is how front suspension should feel on a golf cart. No more nose diving when I hit the brakes or bottoming out on speed bumps. This Yamaha G16 front shock replacement brought my 2000 G16 back to life. High-quality construction, metal bushings seated well, and zero squeaks even under full load with passengers. Can’t believe I waited this long to upgrade. If you own a Yamaha G-series cart, don’t settle for worn factory shocks.

Shock quality is solid, but I wish it came with installation torque specs. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. Aside from that, performance is excellent—noticeably better than stock. Installed on my lifted G14 with no clearance issues. Ride is much more controlled and comfortable, especially over gravel and rough pavement. This is one of the few golf cart front shocks for Yamaha that actually handles like a real suspension upgrade.
