Is this voltage regulator compatible with a 1991 Yamaha G9? Looks the same but I’m not sure. Anyone tried this on an older model?

Exact replacement for the original regulator on my 4-cycle gas Yamaha golf cart. Plugged it in, started right up, charging perfectly. Price was best online.

Anyone know if this works on a G8 with aftermarket lights? I’m trying to solve low voltage problems. Thinking it could be the regulator?
