Part fit my 1997 Medalist fine, but steering still feels off—maybe the rack needs replacing too? Quality seems decent, just not a total fix in my case. Worth a shot if you know your issue is the pinion gear.

Solid machining on this pinion gear. My original one had stripped teeth, and this dropped in cleanly on my 2003 TXT. The gear mesh is smooth, no binding. Highly recommended for anyone doing EZGO steering repairs.

Anybody else’s steering column rattle before installing this? Mine was noisy before but now feels firm. Wondering if this pinion gear alone usually fixes that or if I need to check the coupler too?

Got it for my 1995 Medalist project cart. Gear teeth look strong and precise. Steering has less play now. I just wish it came with a diagram or install guide for first-timers. Still a good buy.
