Used to bypass factory OBC to allow use of microprocessor controlled chargers. Bypass disables factory charger circuitry.
Tired of having to replace your faulty OBC (On Board Controller) year after year? This Do-It-Yourself conversion kit paired with a new aftermarket charger (sold separately) is your solution!
This kit is required to use aftermarket chargers (including but not limited to Lester Summit II, DPI Accusense, and Delta Q) on Club Car Golf Carts with Powerdrive systems.
Cross Reference Part/SKU Numbers: 43212S LESTER, CGR-123 RH, 31610 NI, 17-283 NL
After installing the CGR-123 OBC bypass kit, the original charger that worked with the OBC will no longer work to charge the cart. A charger with a microprocessor built in the unit is needed (ex: CGR-255 or CGR-317).

This bypass kit saved me hundreds. My 2006 Club Car DS had charger issues tied to a faulty onboard computer (OBC). Instead of replacing the entire OBC, this Lester wiring bypass kit solved it instantly. Installation was surprisingly easy—clear labeling and quality connectors. My PowerDrive charger now kicks on without hesitation. Highly recommend this for any Club Car owner dealing with OBC problems!

Works great on my 1999 Club Car. I was skeptical at first, but this OBC bypass wiring kit really works. Took about 30 minutes to install with basic tools. It re-routes the charger activation directly to the controller, removing the dependency on the buggy factory OBC. Lost a star only because no printed instructions were included, but I found a YouTube guide that helped a lot.

I was about to replace the whole onboard computer until I found this Lester bypass wiring kit. It’s specifically made for Club Cars from 1995 to 2014, and it fit my 2004 Precedent without issue. The wiring was thick and well-insulated, and everything clicked right in. No more blinking charger or “not charging” issues. Easily one of the most cost-effective fixes out there for OBC-related problems.

The bypass kit does what it’s supposed to, but the wiring diagram was really hard to follow. Took longer than expected to figure out the connections on my 2010 Club Car Precedent. Once installed, it worked fine, but clearer instructions would’ve made a big difference.

Used this on my 1996 DS model. No more faulty OBC errors. Good price, fast shipping, and solid wiring quality. Instructions could be clearer.
